Latest Deep Bleaching Case

Filed under: Uncategorized — Dr. Timmerman @ 10:05 am

Our latest case is with someone that wanted lighter teeth, but didn’t realize how yellow they had become until we were done. Normal methods of whitening just don’t do what we routinely achieve.

After we conditioned the enamel, we used some unique and proprietary trays to get this:

While this was nice and an improvement, we weren’t done. We treated the enamel again and then used an in-office whitening procedure that gave us THIS result:

This is success! If you look at the back molars you will see how yellow these teeth used to be. The back teeth have porcelain crowns on them, so they didn’t change color. One of the benefits to porcelain restorations is how color stable they are; they don’t change. This is also one of the downsides. If someone wants to change their color, porcelain won’t, so to get a match, we would need to redo the back molars.

Most people don’t. Back teeth aren’t seen enough with most people to be a concern.

If you or someone you know would like more information or to set up an appointment to get started, please give us a call at 206-241-5533!
