Sometimes when placing implants, a person’s sinus is “in the way” and prevents the implants from simply being placed. While that may be an initial set back, it does not mean that implants are not possible.
The sinus lift procedure is simply that, lifting the sinus. In many situations, the sinus can be “bumped” at the time the implant is placed. This requires extra steps and materials, but is pretty straightforward. in the case where there is very little bone and very large sinuses, a much more involved and phased method is used.

A common issue today is receding gums. In the past, it was said someone was old when they got “long in the tooth”, meaning receding gums was a sign of aging. As the gums recede, so does the bone and tooth loss can be a result. Exposed root surfaces can be sensitive with no real long term alternative solution available.

Dr Timmerman has helped many people get their teeth as white as possible, but the challenge has always been KEEPING their teeth white. As time goes on, all bleaching methods fade and teeth start to yellow again. Some methods last longer than others, but maintenance is needed.
