Dentures Don’t HaveTo Look Like DenturesAnymore!®

    Fountain of Youth Dentures™

One of the most unique services that our patients have access to is Fountain of Youth Dentures™! Dr. Lance Timmerman provides these treatments right here in our Seattle dental office to practically turn back the clock after tooth loss.

When comparing Fountain of Youth Dentures and traditional dentures, Fountain of Youth dentures is the clear winner.

Traditional dentures are placed directly over your jawbone in an attempt to make them more stable. But that stability comes with a price; your dentures shrink in with your jawbone. FOY® dentures are placed over your jawbone and muscles, which won’t allow them to shrink with your face. Plus, our FOY® denture dentists will adjust your dentures along the way so you can always have a youthful and full face and smile.

    Enhanced Functionality

Transform Your Smile with Cosmetic Dentures

Cosmetic dentures, fabricated by skilled lab technicians, resemble natural teeth and tissues without an artificial appearance. There are three types of dentures: economy, traditional, and neuromuscular cosmetic. Only the latter is offered by the speaker, providing a facelift appearance, comfortable fit, and better functionality. Implant stabilization can be an option.

Learn about the benefits of dentures and how they can restore your smile and improve your oral health.
Dentures are removable oral appliances that replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They consist of artificial teeth set in a flesh-colored acrylic base. Partial dentures, on the other hand, are used when some natural teeth are still present. They are designed to fill in the gaps created by missing teeth, restoring both aesthetics and functionality.
The lifespan of dentures can vary depending on several factors, including the quality of the materials used, oral hygiene practices, and regular dental care. On average, dentures can last between 5 to 10 years. However, over time, changes in the oral structure, such as bone resorption and gum recession, may affect the fit and stability of the dentures. It is important to have regular dental check-ups to assess the condition of the dentures and make any necessary adjustments or replacements.
Yes, dentures can greatly improve your appearance by replacing missing teeth and restoring the natural shape of your face. They are custom-made to closely resemble natural teeth, ensuring a natural-looking smile. Dentures can also fill out your facial features, preventing the sunken appearance that can occur with missing teeth. With properly fitted dentures, you can regain your confidence and enjoy a more youthful appearance.
It may take some time to adjust to wearing dentures, especially when it comes to eating and speaking. Initially, you may experience some difficulty with pronunciation or chewing certain foods. However, with practice and patience, most individuals adapt well to wearing dentures and regain their ability to eat and speak comfortably. Dentures should be properly fitted to ensure stability during chewing and speaking, and your dentist may recommend certain techniques or exercises to improve your ability to eat and speak with dentures.
Proper denture care is essential to maintain their appearance and functionality. Dentures should be removed and cleaned daily with a denture brush or a soft-bristle toothbrush and a non-abrasive denture cleanser. They should be soaked in a denture solution overnight to keep them moist and prevent warping. It is important to handle dentures with care to avoid dropping them and causing damage. Regular dental check-ups are necessary to assess the fit of the dentures, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure optimal oral health.
It is generally recommended to remove your dentures before sleeping to give your oral tissues a chance to rest and to properly clean and care for the dentures. Sleeping with dentures in can increase the risk of infections and irritation. However, there may be specific cases where your dentist advises you to keep your dentures in overnight for medical reasons. It is important to follow the specific instructions provided by your dentist regarding wearing and caring for your dentures.
It is common to experience some discomfort when first wearing dentures. This is because your oral tissues need time to adjust to the presence of the dentures. Initially, you may experience sore spots or increased saliva production. Over time, as you become accustomed to wearing dentures, these discomforts should subside. If any persistent discomfort or soreness occurs, it is important to consult your dentist, as adjustments can be made to ensure a more comfortable fit.
While it is generally safe to wear dentures during mild physical activities, it is advisable to remove them for contact sports or activities with a higher risk of impact. This is to protect both your dentures and your oral tissues from potential damage
While dentures restore the ability to eat a wide variety of foods, it is advisable to exercise caution with certain types of food. Hard, sticky, or chewy foods can put excessive pressure on dentures and may cause them to become loose or damaged. It is recommended to cut food into smaller, manageable pieces and chew on both sides of the mouth to distribute the forces evenly.
Over time, dentures may wear down or become ill-fitting due to changes in the oral structure. It is generally recommended to replace dentures every 5 to 7 years or as advised by your dentist. Regular dental check-ups are crucial to evaluate the condition of your dentures and determine if replacement is necessary. Additionally, if you experience any discomfort, difficulty chewing, or changes in the fit of your dentures, it is important to seek professional evaluation.

Dr Timmerman is a real pro. He is a gifted crafter of smiles . All on 6 in my case. For years i havent publicly smiled at anyone. My natural teeth had reached the end. Enter Seattle Smiles to give me a solution that restored confidence in myself to present my true self to the world again. The consultation was thorough and very educational to me. Its tough to hear you cant keep your natural teeth anymore but Dr Timmerman did great explaining my options and being honest about the consequences for my oral and general health. I trusted the Dr completely and he did a terrific job on my all on 6 (upper and lower) restoration. Prep and Surgery was well prepared and almost completely painless . Its amazing from the quality of the work performed to the underlying advanced tech to the craftsmenship of my new smile and the great support of Holly to help me explore potential coverage under my health insurance. 1st class staff, top notch Dentist and full support of this journey. On to healing and getting final set late this summer. Very pleased with the results. My wife says she doesnt want me to go out in public because “I look too good”. Thanks Dr Timmerman and staff, you changed my life .

Dr. Timmerman is exceptionally skilled and friendly. He exhibits a gentle touch when working on your teeth. His staff is also very welcoming. I once witnessed Dr. Timmerman performing an emergency tooth repair for someone I knew, and he did an excellent job. I wouldn’t consider going to anyone else. My trust in Dr. Timmerman is unwavering at 100%. When it comes to cosmetic dental work, Dr. Timmerman is, without a doubt, the best!

If you have embarrassment or fears concerning your teeth /mouth condition this is the place to come. Very professional! They put you immediately at ease. My teeth are in horrible condition. It was difficult for me to even make the apt as I’m so embarrassed to even open my mouth. From the receptionist to the doctor I was treated as if I was the only patient they had that day. They even helped me get financing! Make the call today you won’t be sorry.
